What do you love most about your work?
When I’m trying out different camera positions and lighting and the image first starts to come together. It’s the first point at which I start to get an idea of what the final image might look like and the narrative that is going to be conveyed. From that point on anything else I add is trying to support that narrative.
What’s the most exciting project you’ve ever worked on?
Creating my first animation for a high-end housing development in Manchester. Animation requires a different set of skills to creating still images, so it was a steep learning curve, but I got to see the whole project through from concept to post production and recording a voice-over with a professional voice-over artist. Looking back I can pick flaws in the final product now, but I learnt so much through the process.
What do you like most about Pollen Place?
It’s an incredibly tranquil environment to work in. I’m not a fan of blocking out office distractions with headphones, but I’m still able to fully concentrate on my work here.
Where is your favourite place to eat in Bristol?
G-bros pizza in Easton. The best.
What is the motto you live your life by?
Wubba lubba dub dub.
