What do you love most about your work?
It’s being able to pour care and attention in to something and it just gets better, shinier, and fancier than when you started.
What do you like most about Pollen Place?
While it’s probably not fair to come straight out and say “gold taps”, I’d settle for how nice an atmosphere it is. It’s just a very chilled place to work.
Where is your favourite place to eat in Bristol?
I’ve not been here long so whenever I visit somewhere I declare that as my new #1 spot. Currently that’d be the great Thai food at Giggling Squid in Clifton, but also its proximity to cocktails at Amoeba too.
If you weren’t coding, what would you be doing?
I’ve been doing this since school, so it’s hard to visualise. I certainly wouldn’t go back to my paper round, now _that_ was a job. I’m really enjoying carpentry, although the gifts I made for my family a few years back I’m getting reports of them falling apart!
What single book has most inspired you and why?
Probably the detective-themed Filofax that came with a how-to on robber catching. And more recently Moby Dick, where it totally suckered me into the insane world of early seafaring. However both books have yet to fully realise themselves in me.
What is the motto you live your life by?
Ooh, what could I distill in to a motto I wonder, how about: Just simply be. And for good measure, try to think about our place in the universe.
